How to Edit and Save Canva Template Files

Modified on Wed, 5 Apr, 2023 at 10:05 AM

1.  On the homepage, you'll see a variety of templates (e.g., facebook, pinterest, instagram, youtube and facebook banners, etc.). Click on the template that interests you.

2. Browse through the available templates and click on the one you'd like to edit. This will open the template in Canva's editor.

3. Click on any text box to edit the content. You can change the font, font size, color, alignment, and other formatting options using the toolbar at the top of the editor.

4. To add a new text box, click on the "Text" option in the left sidebar. Choose from the available text styles or click "Add a heading," "Add a subheading," or "Add a little bit of body text." To remove a text box, click on it and press the Delete or Backspace key on your keyboard.

5. To edit images, click on an image to replace it with a new one. You can upload your own images or choose from Canva's library of free and premium stock photos and illustrations. You can also resize, crop, and apply filters to the images.

6. In adding or removing elements, in the left sidebar, click on "Elements" to add shapes, lines, icons, or other graphics to your design. To remove an element, click on it and press the Delete or Backspace key.

7. If you have overlapping elements, you can adjust their layer order by right-clicking and selecting "Bring forward," "Send backward," "Bring to front," or "Send to back."

8. Once you're satisfied with your design, click the "Download" button in the top right corner to save it as an image (JPEG, PNG) or PDF file. Alternatively, use the "Share" button to send your design via email, share a link, or post it directly to social media platforms.
